X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Review

A film based around bulky men, anger, betrayal and action, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" had the potential to become an all-time feast for the 'boys'. We are sadly left with a main serving of dissapointment, with a side of questionable storyline.
Yes we definantly see action, explosions and Hugh Jackman screaming way too many times, sometimes without enough reason. And yes, Hugh doesnt dissapoint the ladies as we see his granite-moulded half naked (and almost enitrely naked) self a little too much.
Overall, there was just too much going on with the story, with too many un-related characters introduced in such little time. The whole 'origins' of Wolverine was really explained within X-Men 2 so you begin to feel a waste of time watching certain scenes as we already know the results from certain 'experiments'. The new X-Men characters introduced were basically squeezed into irrelevant scenes for the fans and had little meaning or depth to the plot. I only wished for more Gambit action involved in the plot.
Some explosions were decent, however the visual effects were very ordinary and very soft compared to recent action films such as 'Iron Man'. I have never been interested enough to read the X-Men comics and after viewing this film, it didn't help. "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" tried too many angles, introductions, genres without backing any of these up with good performance. I just wish Stryker could erase my memory back to the time before I was about to purchase the tickets...
