Hello there future readers "I hope" firstly what I want to expel is that I want this blog to work on a question basis as well as just me blabbing on. So please feel free to ask many exciting and irrelevant questions and sign up as a friend as I am more than happy to post in response to your needs.
Now onto topic, I have recently had the privilege of seeing An excellent Australian film Kokoda, definitely one of the best Australian productions I have seen for a while, so I thought I would take this opportunity to start a count on fantastical Australian movies, I figure in light of such deplorable failures such as The Cracker and You and your stupid mate we need to lighten up our moods and restore faith to how good Australiana can be.
Starting at number ten we have...
Gallipoli- Definitely a deep and meaningful piece to most Australians, this movie stars Mel Gibson before he turned into Crazy McHollywood, Bill Kerr, Mark Lee and in a supporting role Heath Harris makes an appearance who has moved onto films such as racing stripes and The young black stallion. All very good performances by fairly good actors and this is a movie that should be seen and not forgotten much like Kokoda. Mel Gibson should give kudos to Peter Weir for managing to get a lovely and credible performance out of him in Gibsons early years. Peter Weir of course can be credited for his recent works "Master and Commander" and "The Truman Show" both of which were shown to great critical acclaim. There we are two fantastic Aussie Stars I use Aussie lightly in terms of Mel Gibson. No. Ten on our countdown.
