Im Back with Numbers

November 22nd 2006 11:13
I know, Iknow you are all sitting there, thanking god that the teal writing man is back with more news and reviews occasionally some questions about drugs, or perhaps noone is thinking that at all, but i am back and how good it is. Okay lets take it slow. No.1 News This is probably a bigger event in the movie world than if Vin Diesel took on the roc, but then they ended up making out, Margaret Pomeranz of movie show fame, did something completely put of character, usually it is, wow this is the greatest movie I have ever seen, I award it one and a half stars, but in an amazing turn on Monday she awarded "The Road to Guantanamo" 5 Stars!!! I know amazing but true. In other news, apparently this years oscar nominations could be much more popular than last years, being as films such as crash were made out to be well below par in the stakes of popularity and excellence. Last years movies ominated for best picture were among the least viewed of any titles in history, the highest earner being brokeback mountain at only 84 million while Crash earnt a measly 53 million, the lowest of any film to win best picture for around 20 yrs. The highest earning movies of all time are apparently going to be shaken with the release of spiderman 3 coming out, an estimated billion dollars is expected which is expected to raise the franchise closer to that of the calibre Lord of the rings has created. Among the most succesful franchises of all time, Harry Potter, Spiderman, The Lord of the Rings and Shrek, with the highest grossing directors, coming in to top fifties are Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg and James Cameron, as well as Sam Raimi
Sam Raimi, another money machine, who directed horror films
and the WaCHOWSKI BROTHERS making an effort.
Peter Jackson, a walking goldmine
Stay tuned for a review of flags of our fathers tomorrow.
