July 27th 2006 04:03
Okey Dokey, pretty straight forward here people, what are your favourite movies of either all time or the last twenty years if you cant decide between all those movies. All u need to do is award points to each like No.1 is not the best it gets one point and number ten gets ten so on
1.Beverly Hills Cop
2.Adaptation
3.Lord of the rings (Return OTK)
4.X-men 2
5.40 yr old virgin
6.LA confidential
7. Donnie Darko
8.LOTR (Fellowship)
9.Batman Returns
10.Edward Scissorhands there are plenty more but I cant think of them all

don't limit yourself! Put the obscure ones in - maybe someone else loves them too...

I could never make list of my favourite movies... it changes depending on my mood.. these days, I've really enjoyed In the Mood for Love, Harold and Maude and The Castle...

it's an 80s English movie about two strung-out, out of work actors in the 60s who 'go on holidays by mistake' to the country. It's really funny, I could watch it over and over.

Hi there Leon. Nice list. I will get around to posting Genre Top 10's on my blog soon.

Im one of those who cant make a definitive top 10 because there are just so many fantastic movies in so many genres made over the last century. I always feel Im forgetting so many and usually I am.

So, here are 10 that spring to mind, both old school and new. Trying to only list 2 from each genre-(In absolutely No Order)

Stuart Rosenburg's Cool Hand Luke
Sidney Lumet's Fail Safe
Alan J Pakula's The Parralax View
John Frankenheimer's Seconds
Neil Simon's The Odd Couple
Robert Alderich's Kiss Me Deadly
Sergio Leone's Once Upon A Time In The West
Ridley Scott's Blade Runner
Coen Brother's Miller's Crossing
Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevarde
Francis Ford Coppolla's Apocalypse Now

A quick list of 10 gems of the last few years- (Again, In No Particular order)

Darren Aronofsky's Pi
Christopher Nolan's Memento
Joe Carnahan's Narc
Neil Marshall's Dog Soldiers
Coen Brother's Big Lebowski
Bill Paxton's Frailty
Greg Araki's Mysterious Skin
Shaun Caruth's Primer
David Fincher's Fight Club
Richard kelly's Donnie Darko
