Awake

Two rising Hollywood young stars: Jessica Alba and Hayden Christensen are united in this thriller movie called: Awake.
The story revolves around anesthetic awareness, a rare occurence that someone can be awake but paralyzed during surgery. Hayden plays the main character, a man who went through a surgery, only to found out he was completely awake during the whole process, thus can still feel pressure and pain during the surgical proceedings.
It's a very interesting concept that I haven't been aware before. The thought of it scared me and the visual scared me even more as they were cutting through his body, doing the surgery and he could feel all that.
I love how twisted and smart the ending is, never thought that Jessica Alba (whom played as his fiancee) played a role in this evil plan. Sickening, evil deed. Her acting was quite convincing. I buy her acting more in this film than in her other thriller film "The Eye".
Although the story builds up rather slowly, but I guess that's the thrill of it, to keep on guessing. A delightful medical thriller to see and surely wouldn't hurt you to see two of the hottest young stars.
